Nevenka Codevelle is responsible for leading the Australian Energy Market Operator’s (AEMO) independent subsidiary, AEMO Services and brings over 25 years’ experience in the energy sector.
Prior to joining AEMO Services, Nevenka held the role of Executive General Manager, Government and Stakeholder at AEMO where she was responsible for engagement with key industry, market, consumer, and government stakeholders to facilitate strong and ongoing partnerships and collaboration.
Starting her career as an infrastructure and regulatory lawyer, Nevenka went on to have a variety of roles in the energy sector spanning government and industry. This included more than 13 years with APA Group as a member of the leadership team that helped grow the business to be included in the ASX50.
Nevenka also founded and led the Energy Charter, which brought together the energy industry to deliver better whole-of-system customer and community outcomes.
Thomas leads AEMO Services' Stakeholder Relations and Communications function, which includes all external and corporate affairs. Thomas has extensive experience in advocacy, communications and campaigns with a focus on regional Australia and prior to joining AEMO Services, served in a senior role leading major transport infrastructure and policy advice for the Deputy Prime Minister of Australia.
Thomas holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts from Macquarie University.
Sharon commenced with AEMO Services in April 2022 and is responsible for Governance, Risk, Legal, Compliance and Audit at AEMO Services.
Sharon has over 20 years’ experience in the energy, utilities and infrastructure industries in both the private and public sectors. She has expertise in risk, compliance, legal and governance issues. Her previous executive roles include General Counsel and Company Secretary of one of Australia’s largest energy companies and also as a corporate energy partner of Herbert Smith Freehills.
Sharon holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Adelaide. She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Graeme Edie joins AEMO Services as General Manager – Financial Markets with more than 30 years’ experience in financial markets and treasury roles. During this time, Graeme held a range of senior positions including multiple managing director and global leadership roles.
At AEMO Services, Graeme is responsible for maximising consumer value through the risk management of the consumer balance sheet and oversight of financial administration. Graeme also led the appointment of the Financial Trustee, and establishment of the Scheme Financial Vehicle.
Graeme is a graduate of Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand and has undertaken international post graduate study in management and corporate governance.
Melanie Koerner is responsible for leading AEMO Services’ System Planning and Renewable Energy Zone authorisation function.
In this role, Melanie leads the development of Infrastructure Investment Objectives Reports – our blueprint for meeting NSW’s future electricity needs and the authorisation of new Renewable Energy Zone transmission infrastructure.
Melanie has joined AEMO Services with twenty years’ of experience as a consultant, leading transformation in Australia’s energy sector, with a focus on policy design, regulatory reform and business case development within emerging and existing energy markets. She has previously worked in a consulting capacity across the sector including for regulated network businesses, energy retail companies, energy market bodies and government.
Melanie has a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) from the University of Adelaide.
Riste has accrued a breadth of experience in the energy and heavy industry sectors, having held a range of roles in AEMO, Ausgrid, AGL and BlueScope Steel.
In these organisations, Riste excelled in senior leadership roles responsible for service delivery, contract management, procurement and commercial.
At AEMO Services Riste is responsible for the contract management function and identifying and actioning processes and systems to enhance our operational efficiency and resilience, as we scale up to deliver our NSW Roadmap and Capacity Investment Scheme (CIS) functions.
Riste holds a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Economics and Finance from the University of Wollongong.
